[inserted left margin: 308] Rx half a peck of fine floore 3 pound of swet buter 16 ou[nces] to the pound, and a quarter of a pound & hole pound of cara[way] comfits. 3 quarters of a pound of suger 10 eges [6] of the [text loss: whites] taken oute one pinte of swete creame warmed, [strikeout] [text loss] Eggs beaten & put to it a pinte of ale yest 4 nutmegs [text loss] 6: spounfuls of roase water, mix the nutmegs & suger in the floore then rub the buter in it as small as you can then put i[n] to it your Eggs & creame and yest to wet it. Of musk an[d] amber Grese of each one graine then put in your Comfits so put it in to your pan and Bake it in a prity quick oven be sure youre yest be very good
