[inserted left margin: 308 R[x]] half a peck of fine floure 3 pound of swet buter 16 ou[nces] [test loss] to ye[the] pound, and a qrter of a pound & hole pound of cara[way] [text loss] comfits 3 qrters of a pound of suger 10 eges bot ye[the] [text loss] taken oute one pinte of swete creame warmed, [strikeout] y[text loss] Eggs beaten & put to it a pinte of ale yest 4 nutmegs [text loss] 6: spounfuls of roase water, mix ye[the] nutmegs & suger in [text loss] ye[the] floore yn[then] rub ye[the] buter in it [instered above: as] small as you can yn[then] put i[text loss] to it your Eggs & creame and yest to wet it.
