- Rx the finest clear quinces you can git boyle them then pare them & slise them into thin peces way a pound of them to a pound of duble refined suger then take the quinces and strow them upon a silver plate till they be all desolved then put in the suger well dried Lett them stew to geather a good while then drop them on a paper so turn them till they be dry-
