- A recipe for making a meringue-like dessert by mixing very fine sugar and chocolate into whipped egg whites and baking in a low oven.

- Having beat & sifted half a Pound of double refined Sugar scrape into it an ounce of Chocolate very fine & mix them together. Beat the White of an Egg to a very high Froth & strew in your sugar chocolate. Keep beating till it be as stiff as Paste then sugar your Paper & drop them on about the Size of a Sixpence & bake them in a Very slow oven. H Spencer
