Having beat & sifted half a Pound of double refined Sugar sc[inserted above: r]ape into it [text loss] ounce of chocolate very fine & mix them together. Beat the White of an Egg to a very high Froth & strew in your sug[text loss] chocolate. Keep beating tile it be as stiff as Paste then sugar your Paper & [dich] them on about the size of a Sixpence & bake them in a Very slow oven. [illegible]
