A child of 4 or 5 yrs old may take as much as may ly heaped on a fivepence a child of ten or twelve as much as will fy on a shilling a grown person as much as will fy on a halt Crown miss ye pounder in a spoon with either a litle ale or urne or simple watter & drink a glas of either wine or ale after it & take in a Gerut an hour in a little more before ye fith it is better to succeed in ye quantity yn a bate it is so harm les a thing it is very efect u all for ye Colick or pain in ye ftermath it must be continued longer it ye Agve then & times - if it be a very ft ubern agve it is very proper to take a vomit before you take ye powder and it may make it more efectuall
