[inserted left margin: this will hand you to 5[d] yen may make it Dy a pound] Take a quarter of a pound of log wood [I]n to Allom water ye [w]atter & with one peny worth of Allom Must before ye log wood be put in boyld a quarter of an houre yn put in 3 quarters of a pound of wool & boyle in ye log wood and Allom watter a quarter of an houre Then take [oute] youre wool [insert left margin: [Lure]] & put in to ye Dy 2 penyworth of verdigre[c]e and yn put on ye wool a Gane & Smuther it Close [struck: then b[text loss]] then boyle Strong Chamberly & pore upon it So lay it oute to Dry
