Abstract
When the Small Pox strikin again & ye Party is in great danger of death. --
Rx 12 Sheep[illegible] treekle[s] newly made or git a quantity
from the Butcher that kills a Sheep they will
be found in the gutt, put them into 4 5 spoonfulls
of Clarett wine let them soak 3 or 4 howers then --
take them out of the [W]ine & press them intoit
through a fine linen Cloth and drink it, --
In great extremity & when the body is full of the
humor give it every 2 howers till they are risen
& come out a gain to a Child give 6 treacles to one
of 16 give 12 to a strong man give 16. This is a Secret
in Nature that adds life to life fortifies the heart --
Clarifyes the blood & thro[ugh][strikeout] out the Melignancy
and Venome that is crept intoit and lurks init The
best is to 50 or 60 treacles at a time and give a proportionable quantity.
