To Make Suger of Roses Rx one pound of ye best pouder of Red Roses mix it with a litele joyce of lemons till it be verey still yn take 2 ounces more and half a pound of verey fine suger & yn put in ye pouder of Roses warm it on ye fire stir it with a spoone let it no[t] boyle yn take a bye plate Butered verey thin. let it stand till it be colde yn lay it on in what fashion you please
