Rx one pound of the best pouder of Red Roses mix it with a litele juyce of Lemons till it be verey stiff then take 2 ounces more and half a pound of verey fine Suger & then put in the pouder of Roses warm it on the fire stir it with a spoone Let it not boyle - then take a pye plate Butered verey thin. Let it stand till it be colde then Lay it on in what fashion you please
