2 packs of Malt small Ground Mashed [2 words illegible] [B]ear & coverd very Clo[as] [illegible] 3 or 4 ho[u]rs- then put in six Galons of Ale Gr funds then s much Cold watter as will temper it for [b]arm then work & beat it in as you do for drink- let it be 3 or 4 days [illegible] you still it to every still [full] an hand full of salt- when you still it over a [Gain] add a good quantety of watter
