- A process for making a spiced, fruited brandy using elderberries, mace, and cloves (and possibly with bread crumbs).

- Take a peck of Elder beries when thay are full ripe put them in to a pot & bake them with boulted bread, take the Juce of the Berries & to 3 quarts of it put an ounce of mace & Cloves, Let it Simmer on a Charecole fire till it be a Syrop Sciming it when it is Cold put to it 6 quarts of Brandy & botele it for your use
