This page hosts the World War II letters of Jerome Epstein, Jr. These letters are a small part of the Jerome Epstein papers (collection #0262) housed at the George Mason University Special Collections Research Center.

Jerome Epstein, Jr. joined the Army in 1944 as part of the Army Specialized Training Program. When the program was shut down in late 1944, he transferred into the Signal Corps. Following training in Georgia and Louisiana, he deployed to the Italian theater with the 10th Mountain Division. Following the surrender of German troops in Italy in May 1945, he returned to the United States, where he was stationed in Colorado and Tennessee before earning enough "points" to get his discharge in April 1946.
