Camp Carson, Colorado

In September 1945 Jerome returned with the 10th Mountain Division to Camp Carson, Colorado. Located at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, this post was where the 10th Mountain had conducted their high altitude and winter weather training before deploying to Italy. The majority of Jerome's time at Carson was taken up by continued training, exploring Colorado Springs and the surrounding area, and rumors of demobilization.
